Jubilate Deo began as a gift to the Sing Omaha Girls Choir for a concert that needed a uptempo sacred piece. I composed it in a weekend and immediately took it to the choir’s Sunday evening rehearsal. I set the text with a combination of Latin and English text in hopes of making it approachable for singers and audiences alike.
