People First

Choral music is my calling. I am incredibly active in the profession: teaching collegiately, composing, conducting choirs and teaching applied voice in the community, serving in music ministry, and traveling for honor choirs, festivals, and clinics. Let me know how I can be of service to you and your choir!

Professional Activity

Sing Omaha

Sing Omaha is one of the nation’s largest and most successful music education and performance nonprofits. I founded this organization in 2007, and continue to serve as the Executive and Artistic Director, overseeing 10 choirs, two studio locations, and more than 30 faculty and staff while maintaining a full voice studio and conducting three of Sing Omaha’s ten choirs.

I joined the Creighton University Department of Fine and Performing Arts as the Director of Choral Activities in 2023 where I conduct the Chamber Choir and University Chorus and teach other music coursework. I also serve on University committees and advise undergraduates in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts.

American Choral Directors Association - Nebraska

I have served on the Nebraska Choral Directors Association board since 2009 and was elected to a three-year term as Treasurer in 2018, but resigned to become NCDA’s Operations Manager. I’ve conducted ensembles on state conferences three times since 2012, and was selected to conduct the organization’s first All-State Concert Choir in 2019.
